FPT Smart Cloud expands AI and cloud infrastructure in Vietnam and Japan

FPT Smart Cloud, a subsidiary of FPT Group, has expanded its technological footprint through the development of cloud-native services, AI, and security solutions. Since its market launch in 2020, the company has grown to include nearly 100 services, supported by a team of over 400 Vietnamese engineers. The infrastructure operates across three regions with Tier III standards and a 99.99% SLA, helping over 3,000 businesses reduce investment and operational costs by 30% compared to on-premise models.

A significant milestone includes the FPT AI Factory, developed in collaboration with NVIDIA. This high-performance computing system, featuring over 3,000 GPUs, operates in both Vietnam and Japan. In June 2025, the FPT AI Factory in Japan ranked in the top 36 of the world's top 500 high-performance computing systems, achieving a speed of 49.85 quadrillion calculations per second. The deployment of this multi-hundred-million-dollar infrastructure was managed by a specialized team of Vietnamese engineers.
