Fragrance industry trends highlight clean scents and Guerlain reinterpretations
The fragrance market is seeing a distinction between the rise of intense Arabic perfumes and a sustained demand for clean, fresh scents. Experts note that fragrances evoking cleanliness, such as those with notes of white musk, violet, or iris, offer a sense of immediate comfort and are suitable for daily use.
Featured clean fragrances include Agua nº3 by Victorio & Lucchino, Noa by Cacharel, Agua Fresca de Azahar by Adolfo Domínguez, and Flower By Kenzo. These scents often utilize citrus, soft woods, or powdery floral notes to achieve a non-intrusive profile.
In luxury perfumery, Guerlain has released L’Heure Bleue Eau de Parfum, a reinterpretation of the original 1912 composition created by Jacques Guerlain. Developed by creative director Delphine Jelk, the new floral amber fragrance features a custom lily tincture that required three years of development. The scent profile transitions from fresh ozonic notes, pear, and neroli to a heart of lily, jasmine, and iris butter, settling into a base of vanilla, ambroxan, and musk.
