France 2 pauses regular programming for European sports championships

France 2 is implementing several programming changes and temporary pauses for its regular shows to accommodate major sporting events.

The game show ‘Tout le monde veut prendre sa place’, hosted by Cyril Féraud, will be paused starting Monday, August 10, 2026. The channel will instead broadcast the European Athletics Championships until Saturday, August 15. The show is expected to return with new episodes on Sunday, August 16.

Additionally, the program ‘Les Enfants de la télé’, hosted by Faustine Bollaert, faces multiple scheduling disruptions. It will be replaced on Sunday, August 9, by the conclusion of the Women’s Tour de France and the magazine ‘Vélo Club’. Further interruptions are expected on August 16 due to the European Aquatics Championships and potentially on August 23 depending on the outcome of the Cecifoot European Championship in Strasbourg. The program is slated to return in its regular format for the autumn season.
