France 3 to air special program on Limoges City Hall fire

France 3 has announced a special programming change for Saturday, October 31, to address the fire that struck the Limoges City Hall on October 17, 2026. The 30-minute program, titled ‘Limoges: reconstruire ensemble’, will be hosted by Stéphane Bern and broadcast live from the square in front of the building.

The fire, described as an intentional act occurring amidst urban unrest, caused significant damage to the neo-Renaissance structure, which has stood since 1883. The broadcast will feature testimonies from firefighters, including Commander Aurélien Sabourdy and Chief Warrant Officer Frédéric Dominget, as well as historians and local residents to discuss the building's history and the community's response.

A national fundraising campaign to assist with the reconstruction of the landmark has already collected over 600,000 euros.
