France AI Minister Anne Le Hénanff pushes corporate AI adoption and Morocco partnership

On 9 July, France’s delegate minister for artificial intelligence and digital affairs, Anne Le Hénanff, visited Grenoble. She toured ECM Technologies, a leader in industrial furnace manufacturing that has been developing AI internally for two years, and stressed that “c’est très important parce que l’IA est un facteur de productivité et de compétitivité”. Le Hénanff outlined the state’s “Osez l’IA” plan, which aims by 2030 for half of all small enterprises, 80 % of SMEs and all large firms to use AI. She highlighted the network of 650 volunteer AI ambassadors that help companies assess readiness, and reiterated a human‑centred, data‑secure approach that favours European‑produced digital tools.

Later in the week, Le Hénanff met with Moroccan minister for digital transition, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, in Rabat during Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu’s official visit. The two ministers discussed deepening Franco‑Moroccan cooperation on AI research, skills development, startup support, public‑sector AI deployment, and digital sovereignty. Both reaffirmed a commitment to “IA de confiance, centrée sur l’humain”, emphasizing privacy, security and European‑wide digital infrastructure as a shared goal.
