France and Tunisia issue storm warnings as temperatures rise

In Normandy, France, authorities have raised the vigilance level to yellow, warning of possible thunderstorms, heavy rain and hail as temperatures climb. The alert urges residents and outdoor workers to anticipate disruptions, protect equipment and avoid exposure to extreme heat and sudden storms.

In Tunisia, the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries has called for heightened caution across several governorates, including Jendouba, Béja, Le Kef, Kasserine, Siliana and Zaghouan. Forecasts predict 20‑40 mm of rain, hail and strong winds. Farmers are advised to secure machinery, protect crops and refrain from field work; livestock owners should shelter animals, and fishermen are instructed to consult official bulletins before heading out to sea.
