France bars Israeli security minister Itamar Ben‑Gvir from entry

France's foreign ministry announced that Itamar Ben‑Gvir, Israel's minister of national security, is prohibited from entering French territory. Foreign Minister Jean‑Noël Barrot said the decision follows Ben‑Gvir's "unacceptable" conduct toward French and European activists aboard the Global Sumud flotilla, where he mocked detained participants and demanded they kneel with bound hands.

Barrot called on the European Union to consider sanctions against Ben‑Gvir, echoing similar appeals from Italy's foreign minister and Ireland's prime minister.
