France expands regional bus networks with new lines
New regional bus services are being launched in France to improve public transport connectivity.
In the Gironde region, the Car Express 420 line will begin serving three stops in Le Pian-Médoc starting August 29, 2026. Replacing the current 422 line, this service offers increased frequency with buses every 20 minutes during peak hours and extended operating times from 5:00 to 21:55 on weekdays. The route provides direct connections to Bordeaux Quinconces for most trips and is expected to reduce travel time by approximately 10 minutes.
In the Landes department, the new 450 bus line will connect Mont-de-Marsan to Aire-sur-l'Adour starting September 1, 2026. The route includes strategic stops in Bretagne de Marsan, Grenade-sur-l'Adour, Bordères-et-Lamensans, and Cazères-sur-l'Adour. This service aims to enhance interregional mobility by providing connections to Nouvelle-Aquitaine regional lines toward Pau and Agen, as well as Occitanie's liO network toward Auch and Tarbes.
