French regional bus network restructuring

Overview

Various regions in France are implementing significant restructuring and expansions of their regional bus networks to improve connectivity and service accessibility.

In the Royan Atlantique Agglomeration, the Cara’bus network is evolving to include new lines, such as Line 12 and Line 20, alongside extended operating hours and a new mobile application. Similarly, the Val Parisis territory has redesigned its network through Île-de-France Mobilités to optimize routes and numbering.

Further expansions are occurring in the Gironde region, where the Car Express 420 line will replace the 422 line to provide increased frequency and direct connections to Bordeaux. In the Landes department, the new 450 line will launch to connect Mont-de-Marsan to Aire-sur-l'Adour, facilitating interregional mobility between the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie networks.
