France gears up for July 2026 tax refunds and fuel subsidy deadline

The French tax administration has set a series of key dates for July 2026. On 15 July, taxpayers will receive the seventh monthly levy and source‑tax advance, affecting both local taxes and self‑employed income. The next day, 24 July, tax notices for 2025 become available online, with paper copies sent from 23 July.

Between 24 and 31 July, the Direction générale des Finances publiques will process refunds for an estimated 10‑15 million households that over‑paid in 2025, delivering cash inflows that may reach several hundred euros per household. On 29 July, an online correction service opens, allowing taxpayers to amend their 2025 returns through December.

The fuel subsidy of €100 per eligible worker must be applied for by 30 July, subject to income and mileage thresholds. These coordinated deadlines are expected to influence household cash flow and consumer spending during the summer period.
