France housing assistance to increase in October 2026

Housing assistance payments distributed by the CAF in France will undergo a revaluation effective October 1, 2026. This adjustment applies to major benefits including APL, ALS, and ALF.

The increase is an automatic mechanism indexed to the rent reference index (IRL). Based on the IRL for the second quarter of 2026, which rose by approximately 1.15%, the benefits will increase to partially track the evolving cost of housing. Because the mechanism is automatic, beneficiaries with up-to-date information do not need to take specific steps to receive the adjustment.
