France orders nationwide recalls of Lidl berries and Intermarché cheese due to contamination

French health authorities have issued two separate national product recalls. A batch of frozen red berries sold under the Freshona brand at Lidl stores was found contaminated with norovirus. The affected lot (L300326 B3, GTIN 4056489928089) was on shelves from 02 April 2026 to 24 July 2026 and has a best‑before date of 29 March 2028. Consumers are advised not to eat the product and to discard it safely.

Intermarché has also recalled a brie cheese produced by Pâturages Comtois after tests showed excessive levels of Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled batch (000000ZSAB1, GTIN 3324040112156) was sold between 26 May 2026 and 27 July 2026, with a minimum durability date of 02 August 2026. The cheese should not be consumed, especially by pregnant women and other vulnerable groups, due to the risk of severe gastrointestinal infection.
