Morocco's 2026 Baccalauréat shows 81.6% overall pass rate
The Moroccan Ministry of Education announced that 337,192 candidates passed the 2026 Baccalauréat, giving an overall success rate of 81.6 %. The supplemental (retake) session saw 64,586 candidates succeed, with an 86 % attendance rate. Female candidates achieved an 84.5 % pass rate, compared with 78.6 % for males. Among free (independent) candidates, 31,034 were admitted, a 54.5 % success rate, with 9,549 passing the retake exam. The ministry praised the discipline, mobilisation and effort of students, teachers, families and local authorities that ensured the exam’s credibility and equal opportunity.
The results were released after the Ministry’s official communiqué, which also highlighted the contributions of media coverage and security forces in supporting the smooth conduct of the national examination.
