France reports bakery robbery in Rouen and beach watch theft recovery in Var

In Rouen, two youths aged 15 and 18 broke into the "Emma" bakery around 02:10 on Thursday night. An alarm sounded and police, guided by witnesses, located the suspects in the underground parking of the Espace du Palais. The cash register, still containing coins and pastries, was recovered and the teenagers were arrested and placed in custody for aggravated theft with breaking and entering. The older suspect lives in Oissel, while the minor is homeless and usually stays in Rouen.

On Sunday, 2 August, a young seasonal beignet seller named Antoine, working near Pampelonne beach in Ramatuelle (Var), heard cries and saw two people fleeing after stealing a luxury watch from a tourist. He chased the thieves, apprehended both, retrieved the watch and returned it to its owner.
