France reports multiple maritime fatalities and search operations

Multiple maritime incidents and drownings have been reported across French waters. In Saint-Georges-d’Oléron, a swimmer was found dead after a large-scale search operation involving the Dragon 17 helicopter and SNSM vessels. Despite resuscitation efforts by medical teams from La Rochelle, the individual could not be saved.

In the English Channel, a French trawler has sunk, leaving two crew members missing. A significant search and rescue operation is underway, involving helicopters, rescue boats, and nearby fishing vessels assisting in the search for the missing sailors.

Additionally, a fatal drowning occurred in Nice near the La Réserve and Coco Beach areas. A man approximately 45 years old died following cardiac arrest in the sea; the incident was witnessed by his ten-year-old son. Local authorities noted that strong swells contributed to the dangerous conditions at the time.
