France secures over €600 million in new foreign industrial projects
At the Choose France summit, the Grand Est region announced eight new foreign investment projects from companies in Germany, the United States, Ireland, Sweden, Spain, Italy and others. The announced funds total more than €600 million and include a €90 million engine plant by Liebherr in Colmar, a €45 million expansion by Mars across several sites, a €50 million aluminium‑gas project by Alfa Laval creating about 50 jobs, a €100 million sustainability investment by Ecolab, a €250 million port‑modernisation plan by Boluda and other commitments that together will generate several hundred new industrial jobs.
France also retained its position as Europe’s most attractive market for foreign investment, with the EY Attractiveness Barometer counting 852 foreign‑investment projects in 2025. The French government highlighted these figures in Bangkok to promote further investment from Thai firms, pointing to sectors such as artificial intelligence, low‑carbon energy, data centres and advanced manufacturing. Notable announced investments include a €100 million expansion by Mars and a €28 million cable‑technology project by Prysmian.
