Eximbanka report highlights trust as key for Slovak exporters

According to the Eximbanka 2026 Export Barometer, Slovak companies are increasingly prioritizing trust and risk management in their international operations. The report, commented on by Eximbanka CEO Rastislava Podhorcapa, indicates that geopolitical conflicts, regulatory changes, and shifting supply chains are significant factors influencing export behavior.

Findings show that the primary challenge for exporters is not a lack of opportunities, but rather the identification and verification of reliable business partners, cited by 26.9 percent of respondents. Financial risks and payment terms follow as a major concern for 20.4 percent of firms. To mitigate these risks, companies are focusing on thorough partner vetting, high-quality contractual security, and market research.
