France weather forecast predicts temperature spike on October 27

France is expected to experience a significant rise in temperatures during the week of October 26, 2026. A low-pressure system in the North Atlantic is driving a warm southern air current from the Iberian Peninsula toward the North Sea, bringing unseasonably mild conditions to much of the country.

The peak of this warm spell is forecast for Tuesday, October 27. In many regions, including the south, center, and east, temperatures are expected to reach or exceed 20°C. Specifically, the southwest and central plains may see highs between 21°C and 23°C, while areas such as Auvergne, the Loire, and southern Burgundy could reach 22°C to 24°C. These figures represent an anomaly of 6°C to 9°C above seasonal norms.

In the Dijon metropolitan area, the week will begin with cool mornings between 3°C and 6°C, but Tuesday is identified as the mildest day of the week with potential highs of 17°C to 18°C. Following the Tuesday peak, temperatures are expected to decrease slightly, with highs around 15°C for the remainder of the week.
