The survey also reveals deep public pessimism—84 % believe the country is heading downhill—and low confidence in President Emmanuel Macron (19 %). The left remains fragmented, with its top figures polling below 10 %, while other right‑wing politicians trail behind Bardella and Marine Le Pen.
