France's July 14 Military Parade Showcases Ukraine Support with Allied Troops
France will stage its 2026 Bastille Day parade on the Champs‑Élysées with a record 10,000 soldiers, a 30 % increase in infantry, armour and aircraft. Troops from the “Coalition of the Willing” – 37 invited countries – will march to underline solidarity with Ukraine.
Two Mirage 2000 jets will be flown by a French‑Ukrainian crew, one painting a Ukrainian‑colored contrail, and will escort the Patrouille de France. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and NATO commander General Grynkewich are slated to attend. President Emmanuel Macron said, “Soyons puissants. Soyons unis. Soyons libres,” emphasizing the political message of the display.
