Francesca Michielin announces new album and Italian tour

Italian singer-songwriter Francesca Michielin has announced her new album, ‘Magia Bianca, Magia Nera’, scheduled for release on October 30, 2026, via Columbia Records/Sony Music Italy. The project expands upon her previous work, ‘Magia Bianca’, by adding six new tracks to create a conceptual episodic narrative inspired by the cycle of the Sabbats.

The album explores themes of light and darkness, utilizing esoteric and medieval imagery—including figures such as Hildegard Von Bingen, Hecate, and Diana—to address personal topics like fear, fragility, and self-discovery. Musically, the project transitions from the 1980s synth-pop influences of the previous release toward more gothic, rock, and dance elements.

To accompany the release, Michielin has launched the single ‘La mia ragazza’, a pop-rock track inspired by the historical figure Katherina Hetzeldorfer. The artist also plans an upcoming tour through major Italian theaters in the autumn.
