Franciszek Majewski contract dispute continues as Stal Rzeszów appeals ruling
The contract dispute between speedway rider Franciszek Majewski and Dakar Development Stal Rzeszów has escalated following a decision by the League's Adjudicating Commission. The commission ruled that Majewski's contract was terminated due to the fault of the club, allowing the 20-year-old rider to seek a new team for the upcoming season.
Majewski has alleged that the termination was a result of retaliatory actions by Club President Katarzyna Marszałek. He claimed he felt humiliated and isolated by the management during the conflict. Conversely, the club had previously raised concerns regarding the rider's medical leaves and sporting performance.
Stal Rzeszów has announced it will not accept the ruling and intends to appeal the decision to the Main Commission of Speedway Sport (GKSŻ). The club has requested a written justification for the ruling as part of its formal appeal process.
