Franco Colapinto discusses career and race preparation on Spanish TV

Following a successful seventh-place finish at the Spanish Grand Prix, Alpine Formula 1 driver Franco Colapinto appeared on the Spanish television program ‘La Revuelta’ hosted by David Broncano. During the interview, Colapinto discussed his early career, noting that he moved to Europe alone at age 14 and that his father, Aníbal, sold their family home to fund his racing career.

Colapinto also revealed a specific personal rule regarding his physical preparation. He stated that his sports advisor, former world number one padel player Fernando Belasteguín, advises him to avoid sexual activity or ejaculation during race weekends. Colapinto explained the reasoning as a method to maintain high testosterone levels to optimize athletic performance.

Additionally, the driver addressed the high costs of official Formula 1 merchandise and reflected on the challenges of a demanding international racing calendar.
