Franco Colapinto seeks recovery at Formula 1 United States Grand Prix
Argentine Formula 1 driver Franco Colapinto, racing for Alpine, is preparing for the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. The event marks the beginning of a three-race American leg that includes Mexico City and São Paulo.
Colapinto aims to rebound from a difficult recent stretch in the championship, which included a collision in Azerbaijan, a 13th-place finish in Malaysia, and mechanical retirements during both the Sprint and main races in Singapore. To address these technical issues, the driver returned to the Alpine headquarters in Enstone, UK, to work with engineers on improving the performance of the A526 car.
The Grand Prix schedule features free practice sessions on Friday, October 23, and Saturday, October 24, followed by qualifying on Saturday and the main race on Sunday, October 25. Colapinto expressed optimism regarding the upcoming races, noting the special atmosphere in Austin and the support from regional fans.
