Frank Zambo Anguissa nears return for Napoli

Napoli midfielder Frank Zambo Anguissa is nearing a return to action following a low-grade myofascial injury to his right adductor longus. The Cameroonian player has been sidelined for three weeks since the match against Fiorentina.

There are two primary windows for his potential return. He may be available as early as Tuesday, October 13, for Napoli’s Champions League fixture against Villarreal at the Estadio de la Cerámica. If he is not fit for the trip to Spain, he is expected to be ready for the match against Venezia on October 17.

His recovery is considered critical for manager Massimiliano Allegri, as Napoli faces a dense schedule of nine matches in approximately four weeks, with games occurring every three days. Anguissa is currently the only injured player in the squad who might return in time for the upcoming Champions League clash.
