Franke und Bornberg releases 2026 accident insurance rating

The 2026 accident insurance rating by Franke und Bornberg GmbH reveals that only 13.9 percent of the 474 analyzed tariffs achieved the highest grade of FFF+ (excellent). While the number of insurers and tariffs evaluated decreased compared to the previous year, a higher number of insurers managed to reach the top tier.

For the 2026 assessment, Franke und Bornberg updated its methodology by splitting the investigation of immediate benefits and pain and suffering into two distinct categories. This adjustment increased the number of investigation areas from 18 to 19 and the number of detailed criteria from 62 to 66, aiming for a more precise evaluation of promised benefits.
