Frankfurt and Stuttgart close major streets for summer roadworks

In Frankfurt, the municipal road authority will fully close Hospitalstraße and Zuckschwerdtstraße from 27 July to 7 August to replace about 2,900 m² of asphalt. The works cost roughly €200,000 for Hospitalstraße and €110,000 for Zuckschwerdtstraße. Both directions are blocked, bus routes are detoured and bus stops relocated, while pedestrian access remains.

In Stuttgart, Rohrackerstraße between numbers 212 and 236 is closed from 30 July until 11 September for sewer upgrades and road resurfacing. Traffic is redirected via Speidelweg, Wollerweg and Dürrbachstraße, with opposite‑direction flows using the same alternate routes. The nearby Dürrbachstraße bus stop is moved to address the disruption, and residents face limited access to private driveways during the work period.
