Fratelli d'Italia holds provincial congresses and appoints new local leaders across Italy

In the town of Angri three municipal councillors—Maddalena Pepe, Giuseppe Del Sorbo and Massimiliano Sorrentino—joined Fratelli d'Italia, forming a new party group and prompting statements from regional officials about strengthening opposition in the Salerno province.

During the first provincial youth conference of Gioventù Nazionale in Agrigento, the provincial board was renewed with Calogero Sciarrotta elected as provincial coordinator and other members appointed. Carmelo Porrello was named city coordinator for Naro, emphasizing the party’s outreach to young voters.

Provincial congresses took place on 18 July in Sassari and Cosenza. At the Sassari congress, Alessandro Mura was elected provincial coordinator, pledging to involve territories and youth and to channel cohesion funds to reduce gaps between cities and smaller communes. The Cosenza congress gathered party leaders and invited speakers to review activities, reinforce regional roots and outline future political strategies.

These gatherings aim to consolidate Fratelli d'Italia’s organisational structure and boost its grassroots presence after modest results in recent local elections, seeking to translate national support into stronger local representation.
