Frecciarossa high‑speed trains add experimental stop in Civitanova, Italy

Two Frecciarossa services – train 9802 (Pescara → Milano Centrale) and train 9811 (Milano Centrale → Pescara) – will make scheduled stops at Civitanova station at 05:49 and 20:55. The experimental service begins on 31 August and will run for six months, adding roughly five minutes to the northbound journey and seven minutes to the southbound run.

The plan was presented by regional transport assessor Francesco Baldelli together with Trenitalia Marche director Hamos Berluti, Civitanova mayor Fabrizio Ciarapica and FS Group official Mauro Lucentini. Tickets will be on sale from 20 June. Officials said the stop will boost connectivity between the dynamic Marche economic district and Milan, creating new opportunities for businesses, workers, students and tourists and reinforcing the region’s role in the national high‑speed network.
