Freddy Peralta set to start World Series Game 3 for Tampa Bay Rays

Freddy Peralta is scheduled to start Game 3 of the World Series for the Tampa Bay Rays against the Milwaukee Brewers at Tropicana Field. The matchup marks a significant moment for Peralta, who spent eight seasons with the Brewers organization before being traded to the New York Mets in January, and subsequently to the Rays in August.

Peralta experienced a dramatic shift in performance following his move to Tampa Bay. After struggling with a 4.99 ERA during his tenure with the Mets, he has found renewed form with the Rays, posting a 3.25 ERA and a 1.01 WHIP since joining the team. His recent dominance includes a 7-0 record with a 0.89 ERA since late August.

The Brewers, who originally developed Peralta, will counter with starter Robert Gasser. While the Mets received three prospects in the trade for Peralta, his recent success as an ALCS MVP and his role in leading Tampa Bay to the World Series highlight the impact of the mid-season transaction.
