Fredericia Håndboldklub sets new fan rules after security guard assault

Fredericia Håndboldklub has reached an agreement with its fan club, HK Ultras, to establish new frameworks for future cooperation following a violent incident during a match against Skanderborg AGF in Aarhus. The agreement sets clear requirements for fan members and outlines consequences for non-compliance.

The incident involved an assault on a volunteer security guard that resulted in the individual being hospitalized. East Jutland Police have charged a 58-year-old man from Fredericia with violence against the guard, and the investigation is ongoing. Skanderborg AGF has also reported the incident to the Danish Handball disciplinary committee.

As a direct consequence, Fredericia HK has temporarily suspended the individual charged in the incident from attending the club’s home matches. CEO Thomas Renneberg-Larsen stated that while the club unequivocally distances itself from violence and behavior that creates insecurity, they respect the legal principle of due process and will reconsider the suspension once the police investigation is complete.
