Free boxing program for youth launches in Michoacán, Mexico

The Delegación de Bienestar in Michoacán has opened enrollment for "Boxeando por la Paz," a free boxing program aimed at young people aged 13 to 29. The initiative, presented by Roberto Pantoja Arzola, offers technical and peace‑focused training in 26 gyms across eight municipalities – Apatzingán, Los Reyes, Lázaro Cárdenas, Morelia, Pátzcuaro, Uruapan, Zamora and Zinapécuaro. The sessions are conducted by professional boxers and have the backing of the World Boxing Council. Organizers say the classes promote healthy habits, improve physical fitness, reduce stress and boost self‑esteem. Registration remains open through the official Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro portal, where participants can check available slots, locations and schedules.
