Free Chopin concerts staged in Szafarni and Jawor, Poland
The Chopin Centre in Szafarni will hold a free concert on 12 July 2026 at 12:15, featuring young pianist Piotr Pawlak. The program includes works such as Rondo à la Krakowiak, several Mazurkas, the Fantasia in F‑minor and other pieces by Fryderyk Chopin. The venue offers 84 seats and outdoor listening in the park if weather permits, with funding from the Polish Ministry of Culture and the Kuyavian‑Pomeranian regional budget.
Five days later, on 17 July 2026 at 19:00, the Church of St Martin in Jawor will host another free event as part of the XI International Organ Festival. Pianist Adam Żukiewicz from Denver and organist Maciej Bator will perform a program pairing Chopin piano works with organ transcriptions of Johann Sebastian Bach and Johann Ernst IV, including the Polonaise in A‑flat major and Chopin’s Ballade No 2.
Both concerts are part of a wider effort to promote Chopin’s music across Poland, offering complimentary admission and showcasing international and domestic talent.
