Free Fire Daybreak Anime Set for 2027 Spring Release

Garena and Kadokawa announced that the TV anime adaptation of the popular mobile battle‑royale game Free Fire will launch in the spring of 2027, with a worldwide broadcast beginning between April and June. The official anime account revealed the title "Free Fire Daybreak," released the key visual, and confirmed a promotional trailer will debut on 1 August.

The series is directed by Ken Takahashi, with series composition by Hotaru Asafuji and music by Kōji Fujimoto (Sus4 Inc.). Production is handled by studio CANDYBOX. Set in the futuristic city New Dawn, controlled by the Horizon Corporation, the story follows 16‑year‑old Kelly, who awakens the ability “Transcendence” that can unlock any sealed object, prompting her to confront the corporation’s hidden agenda.

The anime will air simultaneously in Japan and the rest of the world, marking the first major animated adaptation of the Free Fire franchise.
