Free Fire Daybreak anime rollout

Garena and Japanese publisher Kadokawa announced a joint production of the first Free Fire anime, titled Free Fire Daybreak. The series, set in the futuristic city of New Dawn and following 16‑year‑old Kelly as she uncovers a corporate conspiracy, will be animated by Studio Candybox with Ken Takashi directing, Hotaru Asafuji writing, and Kouji Fujimoto composing.

Later in July, the partners confirmed a worldwide spring‑2027 launch, specifying an April‑June broadcast window and a promotional trailer slated for 1 August. The anime will air simultaneously in Japan and other regions, marking the franchise’s first major animated adaptation.

Both announcements emphasize the collaboration between Garena and Kadokawa and outline the creative team and narrative premise, while the second update adds concrete release timing and promotional details.
