Free health screening events in Krosno and Ustroń, Poland

On 13 June, the Wojewódzki Hospital in Krosno (named after Jan Paweł II) hosted a "Rodzinna Strefa Zdrowia" preventive‑educational action. Visitors received free specialist consultations (ophthalmology, dermatology, dietetics), basic health checks (blood pressure, glucose) and participated in first‑aid demonstrations, lactation advice and newborn‑care instruction. The program also included cancer‑prevention education, such as breast self‑examination training, and a hygiene information booth run by the County Sanitary‑Epidemiological Station.

A week later, on 20 June, Ustroń organized the Centralny Klub Pacjenta, offering free preventive examinations and specialist consultations alongside a "Miasteczko Zdrowia" in the Kuracyjny Park. The event featured physical‑activity sessions (yoga, tai‑chi, Nordic walking), presentations of modern disease‑monitoring technologies and involvement of athletes Robert Korzeniowski and Władysław Kozakiewicz to promote active lifestyles. It coincided with the inauguration of the spa season and showcased recent modernisation of Ustroń’s sanatorium facilities.
