Free introduces lower-cost Freebox Pop S with reduced services
Free has introduced the Freebox Pop S, a more affordable version of its standard Freebox Pop. While both versions offer identical internet performance—including fiber speeds up to 5 Gb/s download and 900 Mb/s upload, as well as Wi-Fi 7 capabilities—the Pop S version comes with several service reductions.
The Pop S lacks a physical TV decoder, requiring users to use the OQEE application on a Smart TV or connected screen. It also excludes the structured TV package, streaming service trials (such as Canal+, HBO Max, and Prime Video), the Free Ciné catalog, and unlimited landline calling to various destinations.
