Free medical caravan serves over 12 districts from Azan Hospital in Shabwah

The General Director of the Miftah District, Mohamed Saeed Al‑Khursh Baqir, welcomed a medical caravan organized by the Himmm Medical team to operate from Azan Hospital in Shabwah. The team, led by Dr. Marouf Bajmal, will provide free consultations, routine examinations and complimentary medicines to patients.

The caravan is set to cover more than twelve districts within the directorate, aiming to improve local health services and raise the hospital’s profile. Local authorities, including the head of health and population services, Abdul‑Khalq Omar Lahmad, and interim local administrator Mansour Sultan, pledged logistical support such as food, transportation and venue arrangements. Training workshops for medical and nursing staff on emergency response were also discussed to enhance community health readiness.
