Free public Chopin concerts scheduled in Szafarnia and Kraków

A series of free Chopin concerts will take place in Poland in early August. On 2 August 2026, Yehuda Prokopowicz, a semi‑finalist of the XIX International Chopin Piano Competition, will perform a program of Chopin works at the Chopin Center in Szafarnia. Admission is free, with limited seating and the option to listen outdoors in the park if weather permits.

The following day, 1 August, pianist Krzysztof Książek will present the fourth concert of the "Chopin Inspirations" series in the Italian garden of the former Bishops' Palace in Kraków. The program includes mazurkas, ballades and a duet with his wife, Agnieszka Zahaczewska‑Książek, featuring pieces by Schubert and Mendelssohn. The concert is also free, with tickets obtainable at the National Museum in Kielce and seating limited to 130 attendees.

Both events emphasize Chopin’s diverse repertoire and aim to make classical music accessible to the public.
