Free self‑defense and martial‑arts classes start in Cuiabá, Guarulhos

The Programa Lutadoras, run by the Cuiabá municipal government, has opened registration for free self‑defense classes for women across the city's four regions. The program offers a range of martial‑arts disciplines—including jiu‑jitsu, capoeira, judo, karate, taekwondo and muay thai—on set schedules, with limited spots that can be claimed via an online form.

In Guarulhos, the Palácio de Lutas facility is also accepting registrations for free martial‑arts training for youths aged 7 to 25. Six disciplines—muay thai, jiu‑jitsu, judo, capoeira, kickboxing and boxing—are available, with classes running Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Registrations are handled through the city’s online sports activity platform.
