Brazilian Lawmaker Yury do Paredão Supports Free Women's Health Clinic in Juazeiro do Norte
The mobile unit Carreta Conectados Pela Cura visited Juazeiro do Norte on 8–9 July, setting up at Pracinha do Horto to provide free women's health services. The initiative, organized with Hospital São Vicente de Paulo and the Instituto Dra. Yanny Brena, offered gynecology and mastology consultations as well as ultrasound examinations for residents of the Horto community and nearby areas.
Federal deputy Yury do Paredão (MDB) and state deputy Davi de Raimundão (MDB) backed the effort, emphasizing the need to expand access to quality health care. "Levar atendimento especializado para mais perto das pessoas é uma forma de garantir dignidade e ampliar o acesso à saúde," the deputy said.
The campaign aims to promote early detection and preventive care for women who face barriers to regular medical appointments, strengthening local health partnerships.
