French authorities conduct road safety operations in Vosges and Saône-et-Loire

Law enforcement agencies in France conducted significant road safety operations across the Vosges and Saône-et-Loire regions during the weekend of September 19-20, 2026.

In the Vosges department, the Escadron départemental de contrôle des flux identified 106 infractions. These included 46 speeding offenses, two of which were classified as criminal offenses, as well as instances of driving under the influence of narcotics. The operation aimed to enhance safety for motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians.

In Saône-et-Loire, more than 60 gendarmes participated in 13 separate operations. These checks resulted in 15 driver's licenses being seized and two vehicles being impounded. Violations recorded included six cases of driving under the influence of alcohol and nine cases involving narcotics. One driver was caught traveling at 165 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
