French bee crews strike over scheduling and fatigue

Flight crews at French bee have initiated strike action from August 27 to August 31, involving both cabin and technical personnel. The labor movement, led by the SNPNC-FO and CGT unions, is centered at Paris-Orly and in La Réunion.

Union representatives cite several grievances, including unstable work schedules, increasing fatigue due to long-haul rotations, and inadequate compensation for the demands of the profession. They are calling for immediate negotiations to address a degraded social climate and to ensure more predictable planning.

The airline has taken measures to mitigate disruptions, including using management staff to cover flights and chartering aircraft from Wamos to maintain certain routes, such as the service to New York. However, some disruptions have already occurred, including the cancellation of a flight from Orly to Los Angeles.
