French Customs seize 231 kg of cocaine on A6 motorway

French customs officers intercepted a significant shipment of cocaine on the A6 motorway in Côte-d'Or. During a thorough inspection of a heavy goods vehicle registered in the Netherlands at the Corgoloin rest area, agents discovered 231.3 kg of cocaine hidden within the truck's ventilation system.

The estimated resale value of the seized drugs is approximately 6.8 million euros. The driver, an independent trucker with dual Dutch and Syrian nationality, admitted to the offenses, citing personal debts as a motive. Following a court appearance in Dijon, the driver has been placed in provisional detention pending a trial scheduled for October 14.
