French drug suspects extradited from Uruguay to Argentina over 37 kg cocaine export scheme

Isaac Ben Daoude and Ahmed Adda Belkocir, two French nationals, were arrested in Uruguay in May on an Interpol Red Notice and charged with attempting to export 37 kilograms of cocaine from Argentina to European destinations such as Lyon, Paris and Belgium. After their capture, Uruguayan authorities handed the suspects over to Argentine officials, and they were flown to Buenos Aires where they were transferred to the Complex Crimes Unit of the Airport Security Police. The case is being prosecuted by Judge Marcelo Aguinsky of the National Economic Criminal Court No. 6. Both men refused to give testimony before the federal judge and remain in custody while the investigation continues.

The extradition illustrates close cooperation between Argentine and Uruguayan law‑enforcement agencies and highlights ongoing efforts to dismantle trans‑national drug trafficking networks that use Argentine export routes.
