French Grants Boost Sports Inclusion in Haute‑Garonne and Agro‑ecology Restoration in Réunion
The Caisse d'Épargne Midi‑Pyrénées awarded €37,500 to seven local associations in Haute‑Garonne, France, to develop inclusive sport projects for people with disabilities, youth and underserved groups. The funded groups include Association Loisirs Adaptés, Association des Sourds Tolosa, Toulouse Football American Les Ours, Montpitol Aviron Club du Lac du Laragou, Rugby Union Bien Être Santé Rubies, Association Amalgam and Tournefeuille Sauvetage Nautique.
Separately, the French biodiversity agency (Office français de la biodiversité) and FDJ United granted €535,000 to the Reunion‑based association Latraksion Péïzane under the Mission Nature programme. The project, “Sèm la pli dan karo d'bwa,” will restore 13 hectares in the Hauts de l'ouest of the island over five years, combining soil regeneration, water management, agro‑forestry and biodiversity protection to create a replicable agro‑ecological model.
