French regional grants for inclusive sports

In late July 2026, French financial and biodiversity agencies announced several funding programmes aimed at expanding inclusive sport and sustainable land use. On 25 July, the Caisse d’Épargne Midi‑Pyrénées awarded €37,500 to seven associations in Haute‑Garonne to develop sport projects for people with disabilities, youth and underserved groups. The same announcement included a €535,000 grant from the Office français de la biodiversité and FDJ United to the Réunion‑based Latraksion Péïzane for a five‑year agro‑ecology restoration project.

Three days later, on 28 July, the Regional Committee of Clubs Omnisports Nouvelle‑Aquitaine participated in the Sport Inclusif Games in Mérignac, showcasing parasport and promoting adaptive activities. The event was accompanied by a municipal briefing in Dardilly, where officials outlined plans to expand inclusive sports, notably adapted judo for athletes with mental or psychological disabilities, and pledged support for equipment, facilities and coach training.

Together, these announcements illustrate a coordinated effort by French regional bodies and public‑sector partners to embed inclusion in sport across multiple locales while also supporting environmental restoration initiatives.
