French police dismantle drug trafficking networks in Loire‑Atlantique, Charente and Aude

In the Loire‑Atlantique towns around Pornic, gendarmes carried out a two‑day operation on 15‑16 June 2026 that broke up the CLF 44 network. Twenty‑two suspects were arrested and about 40 kg of cannabis, resin and cocaine were seized, together with four firearms—including an MP5 sub‑machine gun—vehicles, computer equipment, €40 000 in cash and other assets.

In Ruelle‑sur‑Touvre, Charente, a routine identity check on 12 June 2026 led police to detain a man found with 10 g of cannabis resin. A subsequent raid revealed a larger stash of 6.5 kg of resin, 361 g of herb and related packaging. The suspect was later sentenced to an 18‑month suspended prison term.

In Carcassonne, Aude, a traffic stop on 20 June 2026 uncovered a drug‑delivery vehicle. Officers found 325 g of cannabis resin, 165 g of herb, 17 g of cocaine, 16 g of synthetic drugs and €4 415 in cash. The driver was placed in police custody.
