French police seize 8 kg of cannabis in Saint‑Nazaire, also arrest driver in Vannes

On 19 June 2026, the anti‑criminality brigade (BAC) in Saint‑Nazaire stopped a vehicle after noticing suspicious manoeuvres. Officers found a strong smell of cannabis and seized a bag containing 85 packs of resin, totaling more than 8 kg. On 23 June 2026, police motorcycle officers in Vannes stopped a vehicle on boulevard de la Paix. The 27‑year‑old driver, who held only an Algerian licence, tested positive for THC and was driving without a French licence. He was detained but later released pending further investigation.
