French police seize cannabis and arrest dozens in Vaucluse and Rhône raids

In Cavaillon, Vaucluse, police stopped a drug transaction after observing a woman on the parking lot of an Auchan hypermarket. The woman was found with about 100 g of cannabis and, after a search of her home, €4,600 in cash. A follow‑up raid on the suspected supplier’s residence uncovered roughly 5 kg of cannabis, €10,000 in cash, several weapons and luxury items, leading to the arrest of two suspected dealers who were placed under judicial control.

A separate operation in the Rhône region, centred on Lyon and its suburbs, resulted in the detention of about fifteen individuals suspected of involvement in narcotics trafficking. The coordinated raids were part of a broader effort by French law‑enforcement agencies to dismantle drug networks in the southeast of the country.
